Active Awareness

Katpa Producciones Audiovisuales has been working alongside Fundación Temaikén for 3 years, developing different audiovisual projects. One of the most important is portraying year after year the ConCiencia Activa project.

ConCiencia Activa (Active Awareness) is an annual educational program that supports educational leaders (teachers and community educators) in designing, implementing, and sharing participatory projects linked to the care and conservation of the local environment.

The program invites educators to take part in a series of training sessions and knowledge-sharing meetings focused on environmental education, project design and management, children’s and youth participation, and other related topics. For children, youth, and educators leading these environmental projects, the National ConCiencia Activa Meeting provides an ideal setting to present and share their experiences in an atmosphere of creativity, diversity, and fun. In 2015, this Meeting will take place on September 25 and 26.

ConCiencia Activa is thus established as a transformative educational experience, through which Fundación Temaikén’s mission is strengthened: Protecting nature together.
